The roads in British Columbia are busier than ever. People are fitting in last minute vacations, enjoying the fleeting summer sun, and prepping the family for another school year. With students headed back to school, understanding school zones is critical to ensure driver and pedestrian safety in these high traffic areas.
Preventing accidents and mishaps on the roadway is one of the primary goals of driver training. When drivers are able to confidently and safely operate their vehicle, the risk of being involved in an accident can be significantly lessened - but hey - we’re all human, and accidents can happen. Knowing what to do if you’re involved in an accident is crucial to dealing with the matter in a calm, collected, and responsible manner.
A staple of British Columbia driving since its completion in 1961, Highway 1 is part of the Trans Canada Highway, travelling through the entirety of BC at a total length of 1,039 km. Whether you love or hate the #1, its presence is part of the fabric of BC, uniting communities and providing tourists and commuters with access to the BC coast. Finding alternate routes to Highway 1 has become more than just local knowledge and a way of avoiding traffic and congestion, as it allows drivers to discover new corners of BC they’ve never seen before.
More and more people are adopting two-wheeled transportation. In fact, Insurance Bureau of Canada spokesperson, Steve Kee, cites a steady 14% increase in riders on the roads from 2010-2016.That increase comes with a renewed sense of responsibility to ride safely and with confidence.
"A special “Thank You” to you. From what I was told, you never let my daughter put her guard down. Good for you.
I appreciate all the hard work and dedication you’ve given to my daughter. I will recommend Valley Driving School to as many people as I can.
Again, “Thank You” to everyone. Who knows…maybe my daughter will be back for other types of drivers training ie: motorcycle, standard, or even semi-trucks. Could happen. She ‘loves’ to drive.
Best regards"

"I just wanted to send along a “Thank You” to all of you at Valley Driving School.
This has been a great experience for both my daughter and myself.
The office staff have been wonderful and always willing and able to sort through scheduling that works for us.
It can be a scary world out there driving our streets and now I know my daughter has been taught properly on how to handle those situations.
She’s a confident relaxed driver and I am a confident relaxed passenger/parent."
"We just wanted to tell you how impressed we were with the professional and thorough instruction our children received over the last several years.
Both kids' instructors were always punctual, polite and patient, giving our kids the knowledge and confidence to drive well and safely. Both passed their 'N' test on the first try. All dealings with the office staff were pleasant as well.
We would not hesitate to recommend Valley Driving to other parents looking for the right place for their children to learn to drive. Please pass our compliments and thanks to instructor! :)
THANK YOU!!!"

"I want to thank my great instructor and helping me overcome my fear of driving.
I have failed the test a couple of times before taking lessons with him and frankly, this is the best investment I have done lately.
He helped me become a better driver, (I will always remember: mirror-signal-shoulder check), have confidence in myself and pass my test.
Great job! Thank you!"

"Amazing staff!!
I had 5 lessons with my Instructor and he was incredible, clear instructions and always updated on things I needed to do better right when they happened.
It felt like he wanted me to succeed not only because its part of his job, but because he genuinely wanted me to. The cost of the lessons were minimal in comparison to everything I have learned and I passed my road test on my first attempt.
Thanks again!"
