Unlike most inventions, the car was not created by just one person doodling a picture on a scrap piece of paper. There were a series of parts such as wheels, gears and the engine that needed to be created first. The first car was a collaboration of ideas and inventions that took over 5000 years to come together!
Whether you’re a commuter, wine lover, tourist, or commercial driver, you’re likely familiar with the Coquihalla Highway that connects Vancouver and the Okanagan Valley. This 186km stretch of BC’s Highway 5, known for its steep incline and unpredictable weather conditions can surely be viewed as a beautiful, scenic drive through the mountains but should also be treated with caution as ICBC estimates 400-500 crashes every winter season.
It is officially spring in British Columbia and you’re probably getting that unmistakable urge to clean, organize, and de-clutter. Our homes are usually at the top of this spring-cleaning checklist, but what about our vehicles?
Vehicles should most certainly be on the list not only in terms of giving your car a wash, wax, and vacuum, but to ensure you’re in tip-top safety shape for all those summer road trips you have planned, and support your vehicle’s longevity and efficiency as well.
The world is working through the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and you can see the effect in our current daily lives - fewer cars on the road, fewer people on the streets, and an increase of empty store shelves. The demand for every day essentials is skyrocketing as people stockpile and prepare for staying at home for longer periods of time, doing their best to “flatten the curve”. While so much of our attention is turned towards how we as individuals and civilians are impacting, and hopefully slowing this pandemic, the wheels are still turning out there in the transportation industry!
"A special “Thank You” to you. From what I was told, you never let my daughter put her guard down. Good for you.
I appreciate all the hard work and dedication you’ve given to my daughter. I will recommend Valley Driving School to as many people as I can.
Again, “Thank You” to everyone. Who knows…maybe my daughter will be back for other types of drivers training ie: motorcycle, standard, or even semi-trucks. Could happen. She ‘loves’ to drive.
"I just wanted to send along a “Thank You” to all of you at Valley Driving School.
This has been a great experience for both my daughter and myself.
The office staff have been wonderful and always willing and able to sort through scheduling that works for us.
It can be a scary world out there driving our streets and now I know my daughter has been taught properly on how to handle those situations.
She’s a confident relaxed driver and I am a confident relaxed passenger/parent."
"We just wanted to tell you how impressed we were with the professional and thorough instruction our children received over the last several years.
Both kids' instructors were always punctual, polite and patient, giving our kids the knowledge and confidence to drive well and safely. Both passed their 'N' test on the first try. All dealings with the office staff were pleasant as well.
We would not hesitate to recommend Valley Driving to other parents looking for the right place for their children to learn to drive. Please pass our compliments and thanks to instructor! :)

"I want to thank my great instructor and helping me overcome my fear of driving.
I have failed the test a couple of times before taking lessons with him and frankly, this is the best investment I have done lately.
He helped me become a better driver, (I will always remember: mirror-signal-shoulder check), have confidence in myself and pass my test.
Great job! Thank you!"
I had 5 lessons with my Instructor and he was incredible, clear instructions and always updated on things I needed to do better right when they happened.
It felt like he wanted me to succeed not only because its part of his job, but because he genuinely wanted me to. The cost of the lessons were minimal in comparison to everything I have learned and I passed my road test on my first attempt.
"My instructor is kind and patient.
She made me feel comfortable behind the wheel and shaped me into the N driver I am today.
Everyone at Valley Driving School is really nice and welcoming. Also, the classroom is a good learning environment.
I highly recommend this driving school. Everyone I know got lessons there. :)"
