Driver's Guide to Speed Limits in British Columbia

Speed limit signs are a familiar part of every drive in British Columbia, but their purpose goes beyond simply stating a number. They are a form of communication, preparing you for road conditions that might not be immediately visible. For instance, when a speed limit drops from 80 km/h on a highway to 50 km/h, it is an indication that you are likely entering a community where you can expect more intersections, pedestrians, and hidden driveways. Interpreting these signs correctly allows you to anticipate these changes and drive more proactively.

Beyond the Mirrors: A Guide To Understanding Blind Spots

Every driver has experienced that momentary jolt of surprise: a car suddenly appears in the lane beside you, seemingly out of nowhere. This common occurrence is a result of driving blind spots, areas around a vehicle not visible to the driver through their mirrors or peripheral vision. Understanding where these blind spots are and how to manage them is a fundamental part of safe driving, whether you're navigating the busy streets of Abbotsford or cruising on Highway 1.

Driver Safety in Aldergrove: The 264th Street Exit

As part of the larger Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program this project is replacing the long-standing cloverleaf with a new diverging diamond interchange (DDI), the first of its kind in British Columbia.

5 Common Bad Driving Habits & Why You Need To Break Them

After you’ve been driving for a while and start to develop some confidence behind the wheel, it’s not uncommon to pick up a few bad habits along the way. While we sometimes shrug them off as trademarks of our own personal driving style that don’t affect anyone, the combination of thousands of drivers with a few bad habits can easily equate to an increased number of accidents.

"A special “Thank You” to you. From what I was told, you never let my daughter put her guard down. Good for you.

I appreciate all the hard work and dedication you’ve given to my daughter. I will recommend Valley Driving School to as many people as I can.

Again, “Thank You” to everyone. Who knows…maybe my daughter will be back for other types of drivers training ie: motorcycle, standard, or even semi-trucks. Could happen. She ‘loves’ to drive.

Best regards"
