You may find yourself, one day, in the awkward position of knowing someone who is driving but shouldn’t be behind the wheel. These drivers tend to be close to us and a lot of the time the issue regarding their safety comes down to age or health issues that are known to impact things like vision, response times, and motor skills. You may also know of someone who drives without insurance or a valid licence, or maybe you’ve done that yourself before! Sometimes it can be a matter of friends, family, or even strangers getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.
Weather changes and precipitation always present an array of challenges for drivers, and rain (especially a heavy downpour) can make for an especially difficult driving experience. While accident rates can be higher when it comes to rainy conditions, there are many ways to promote driver safety during tumultuous weather. It all comes down to understanding how rain affects the road and acknowledging that reduced visibility will have adverse effects on driving ability.
Peer pressure is often talked about when we’re learning how to drive and even more so once we hit the road for the first time, but how often do we hear about it once we’ve become more experienced? While the topic may go away once you become an experienced driver, the issue itself doesn’t.
Passing is an essential part of driving that should always be mentioned when discussing rules, regulations, and safe driving. Passing basics, and do’s and don’ts, are an important tool to have in your driving toolkit, and not just for everyday driving. Passing also plays a big role when navigating around emergency vehicles and large transportation vehicles!

I had 5 lessons with my Instructor and he was incredible, clear instructions and always updated on things I needed to do better right when they happened.
