It wasn’t until the early 1900’s that Roundabouts started making their way onto North American roadways and now they seem to be gaining popularity – especially in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Currently, there are 33 roundabouts on BC’s provincial highway network so, chances are, you’ll find yourself navigating these circular junctions before too long, if you haven't already.
Did you know that among distracted and impaired driving, drowsy driving has become just as much of a concern? All too often after a long day or not enough sleep, some drivers choose to get behind the wheel, or continue driving, when their body needs a rest.
Green, yellow, red. Go, slow down, stop. Some drivers may think this is all there is to know about traffic lights and signals! Traffic lights and signals are one way of controlling and organizing the flow of traffic, but there is more to know about them than just stop and go.
When you’ve got a new driver in the house, it’s an exciting but nerve-wracking time as your teen gets a sense of their newfound freedom. Making sure your teenage driver has some rules and guidelines, in addition to the Motor Vehicle Act (MVA) regulations, is important to keep them safe on the road and reduce the chances of accidents, fender benders, and other issues.
