Sharing the Road with Buses

Now that school is back in session, bus ridership has increased and you’re more likely to encounter buses on your daily drive. We share the roadway with a number of different buses including city buses, accordion buses, cable buses, HandyDART buses, special activity buses, coach and tour buses, and school buses! Where you live greatly influences which type of bus you will likely come into the most contact with, but regardless of where you live and what type of bus you see most often, the rules and regulations surrounding them remain constant.

Sharing the Road with Emergency Vehicles

Emergency services are instrumental to healthy and safe communities. As a driver, we will encounter the flashing lights or sirens of an emergency vehicle during our commute. The flashing lights, loud sirens, and enhanced stress and adrenaline of an emergency situation may cause confusion, so knowing the rules and regulations when encountering emergency vehicles, will ensure everyone’s safety.

Sharing the Road: Construction Vehicles & Workers - Valley Driving School

Construction zones, which are commonly referred to as Cone Zones, present hazards for both drivers and construction workers. Drivers will encounter construction vehicles and workers everywhere, regardless of the season or weather.

Sharing the Road: Horses

“Wherever Man has left his footprint in the long ascent from barbarism or civilization, we find the hoof print of a horse beside it.”

- John Trotwood Moore

The relationship between horses and cars goes back a long time.

"A special “Thank You” to you. From what I was told, you never let my daughter put her guard down. Good for you.

I appreciate all the hard work and dedication you’ve given to my daughter. I will recommend Valley Driving School to as many people as I can.

Again, “Thank You” to everyone. Who knows…maybe my daughter will be back for other types of drivers training ie: motorcycle, standard, or even semi-trucks. Could happen. She ‘loves’ to drive.

Best regards"
