Transportation of Dangerous Goods - Classroom Course - 4 Hours

National Safety Code - Classroom Course (Log Books) - 4 Hours
The National Safety Code sets out the minimum safety standards for commercial vehicles, drivers and carriers. You need to understand these NSC rules in order to perform your job safely and minimize violations. This 4-hour in class course will provide you with the rules and regulations governing permitted Hours of Service and how to complete the necessary documentation.
Driving Commercial Vehicles - Classroom Course - 4 Hours
Becoming familiar with driving a commercial vehicle may seem overwhelming to someone with little or no previous truck driving experience. This 4-hour theory course has been designed to provide students with a basic understanding of vehicle maneuvering, double-clutching, driving techniques and government regulations.
Load Security - Classroom Course - 4 Hours
During your career as a commercial driver you will likely load and secure many different types of cargo. This 4-hour in class training course will explain the importance of proper weight distribution, loading procedures and choosing the correct security devices.
Defensive Driving for Truck Drivers - Classroom Course - 4 Hours
This course is designed to refresh and enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of a professional driver. Strategies to improve observation skills and response techniques to avoid collisions are gained. Driver and vehicle preparation are emphasized as well as updating drivers on the current road rules to remain safe and violation free.
Load Security - Practical Course - 4 Hours
Students will participate in the decision making process of choosing the correct security devices and gain confidence in actual tie down practice exercises. This 4-hour practical session will help students to develop the proper skills and safety techniques required to restrain or secure cargo.
Extreme Driving Conditions - Practical Course - 4 Hours
Driving in British Columbia through our mountainous terrain when it's cold, wet, icy, dry, hot, snowing, windy or foggy requires a well informed and capable driver. We will teach you how to handle these difficult circumstances and each student will get hands-on experience in installing a set of double or triple tire chains.
